COMPUTERIZED DIAGNOSTICS
We are equipped with dealership-level diagnostic equipment, special tools and devices, as well as specialized technical documentation. Each diagnostic report is printed in two copies: one for the client and one for the service center.
The LR Yard mechanic then interprets the error codes and makes the repair decision based on his experience in our Jaguar and Land Rover dedicated service, while also comparing his decision with the advice of JLR engineers from the UK.
It is very important to regularly maintain your vehicle at a reputable service center—and even more so, if possible, to stick with the same mechanic who has previously worked on your car.
We recommend performing the engine oil service earlier than the manufacturer suggests, because high-quality oil can only benefit a stressed engine. So, do you drive under normal conditions? Change the oil every 10,000–12,000 km. Do you drive under more demanding conditions? Change it every 7,000–8,000 km.
Why change the engine oil more often? Because, just like with French fries, fresh oil is healthier than used oil. Oil has several essential properties, and over time, these lose their effectiveness.
Have you changed the oil in the gearbox and differentials? Every 100,000 km, it’s a good idea to change the transmission oils. If your budget allows, buy original oil that comes in the automaker’s packaging. You can’t go wrong by putting fresh oil in your vehicle’s transmission.
When doing a routine service, the mechanic will also take a look at other components under the car. Every other service, the air filter, cabin filter, and fuel filter should be replaced. Don’t cut corners—use quality filters.
BRAKING SYSTEM
Brake pads wear out depending on the driver’s driving style. When the yellow warning light with the exclamation mark comes on, you should schedule a service appointment, because soon it will start making noise.

The car’s braking system is crucial—sometimes even life-saving—and even if the parts are more expensive, original parts are the most effective.
CAR TRANSMISSION
The transmission sends power from the engine to the wheels. Depending on how aggressively the vehicle is driven, some transmission components can fail. For example, in vehicles used in tough off-road conditions, a universal joint may break, the differential pin may shear off, or the splines in the transfer case can wear out.

Ways to extend the life of your 4×4 vehicle’s transmission include:
Avoid full acceleration while the steering wheel is fully turned.
Avoid climbing extremely steep slopes.
Avoid drifting.
